LOGO DESIGN
We were tasked to design a logo for this discreet yet ingenious brand, we wanted to design something that coexisted with the company’s mission but also signified the importance of the issue they are tackling.
Curvature usually signifies unity in design, understanding this we opted for a design that visually appeared as if it was encompassed in a perfect ellipse.
Colour Psychology
Colour psychology is one of the most important aspects of design.
We had to be cautious with the way the colours chosen, lived with each other.
Blue represents calmness, serenity and peace, while also doubling as the ocean and sea life in the design. Dark blue associates with trust/authority, we added this in order act as the horizon while portraying the brands’ ingenuity. Grey is associated with exhaustion and dullness, this represents the on-going pollution.
Colour VARIATION
Colour variation is a factor we had to consider if the logo mark was to be used on an alternate background.
We try to make it essential for a logomark to have at least one extra variation to make it legible in more than one situation. This gives the business/brand a range of flexibility when it comes to branding.
